Samsung has officially introduced its new smartphone in the Chinese market, the Samsung Galaxy C55. At first glance, it looks a lot like the Galaxy M55, but it takes a slightly different approach.

The Galaxy C55 is the first Samsung phone to feature a premium vegan leather back cover, highlighted with a neat stitched design. It’s available in two color options: Colorful Orange and Stylish Black. The phone itself measures 163.9 x 76.5 x 7.8 mm and weighs just 180 grams, making it slim and lightweight.

Under the hood, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, which delivers smooth performance for casual gaming and high-quality video streaming. The device comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD for those who need extra space.

For photography, the Galaxy C55 packs a triple rear camera setup: a 50MP main lens, a 2MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, you’ll find a 50MP selfie camera for sharp, detailed shots.

Battery life shouldn’t be an issue either, thanks to its 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging.

Out of the box, the phone runs on Android 14 with Samsung’s One UI 6.0/6.1 on top.

As for the price, the Galaxy C55 starts at 1,999 yuan (around IDR 4.7 million) in China. For now, it’s exclusive to the Chinese market, and there’s no word yet on whether it will launch globally.
