Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate

Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate Reviews

ASUS brought back its ROG Phone Series in 2023 with two gaming smartphones, and the top-tier model is the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. When it comes to performance, this beast doesn’t disappoint—ASUS has packed in a bunch of upgrades compared to the previous generation.

One of the biggest highlights is its flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with real-time ray tracing support—a feature usually found on gaming consoles and PCs. On top of that, ASUS has added an advanced cooling system to keep performance stable even during long, heavy gaming sessions.

But the improvements don’t stop there. The ROG Phone 7 Ultimate also comes with several standout features that make it worth considering.

Sleek Gaming-Inspired Design

The phone’s back panel has that signature gaming vibe, but this time it’s more clean and minimalistic compared to older ROG phones. It still carries its gamer identity without looking too flashy. One of the coolest parts is the ROG Vision display on the back, which shows colorful animations when you’re doing things like answering calls, starting a game, or charging the phone. The glass back feels smooth in the hand, resists fingerprints, and keeps the phone looking fresh.

Built Tough & Gamer-Friendly

The device comes with an IP54 rating, meaning it’s resistant to dust and water splashes—handy for peace of mind. ASUS also added Air Triggers on the shoulders, which support multiple gestures like taps, swipes, vertical or horizontal slides, and more.

On top of that, there’s motion control, letting you trigger in-game actions simply by moving the phone. You get 10 different motion gestures that can be mapped to various commands—perfect for more immersive gameplay.

Raw Power Under the Hood

Of course, the real star is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, one of the most powerful processors for Android in 2023. ASUS even claims the GPU is overclocked for extra performance, making it an absolute monster for gaming, multitasking, and everything in between.
